Tuesday 12 -11: first day in HTML design part two

OK,now that you have your TextEdit program properly set up  -- or so we hope -- its time to code your first page. so without any further ado, type this up in TextEdit:

Save the resulting file with your first name followed by a "." followed by "html"
PLEASE SAVE THE FILE ON YOUR DESKTOP

DO NOT close TextEdit...leave it open

You DO want to start up a browser such as Chrome, Safari, whatever we got handy. Then use the "Open File" command to navigate to the webpage you made, and see if it works. 

OR, if you saved the html file on your desktop like I just asked, you can double click on it, then say "YES" to opening the file

If it worked, my congratulations: as Obi Wan once said, you've taken your first step into a larger universe. If not, then let's make it work :-)
